Throwback Thursday: In College I Enjoyed Nasty Songs

There should be no surprise that my semi ratchet ass cannot get enough of raunchy misogynistic music.

I never missed an opportunity to dance in a basement and hear underrated classics like Lil’ Ru’s raunchy and appropriately titled, “Nasty Song.” Now that is clever naming!

Throwback Thursday: Teletubbies (1st Generation)

Every “Throwback Thursday” I wish to pay homage to things that shaped my person today. The picture above is from the late 1990’s.

I remember this picture well, because around this time is when my momma decided that she was through with doing my hair and that it was time for my little ass to go to “the shop” aka the hair salon. Throwback Thursday: Leather So Soft

I credit Cash Money Records for doing so much for me during my developmental years, looking back…I don’t  know if that’s such a good thing now. This video was by far the worst thing that they ever did to me.

This edition of”Throwback Thursday” honors the worst music video I have ever seen in my entire life. If you have never seen Birdman and Lil’ Wayne’s music video for “Leather So Soft” please consider yourself blessed and highly favored.

I’m so sorry those blessings have to end today.

As you watch this music video please note the following:

  1. Violent dancing
  2. Fake guitar playing
  3. Tiger
  4. Interpreter
  5. Panther

In honor of Throwback Thursday (since this is what all the cool kids do) I want to start a new series called….. Throwback Thursday!

This series will be dedicated to moments in pop culture’s past that now directly correlate with personal memories in my life. These pop culture references vary. Sometimes it’s music, sometimes it a movie, sometimes it’s clothing, but I know that most things that are ingrained in my mind all have something to do with some type of cultural reference.

Come stroll down memory lane with me: Continue reading
